libgetdata-perl software package provides library to read/write dirfile data - perl bindings, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgetdata-perl
libgetdata-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgetdata-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgetdata-perl *
You will get with libgetdata-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
